December 14, 10AM - Noon or 1PM - 3PM: Holiday Traditions at the Nature Center. Pre-register for this workshop to create unique holiday decorations using local, natural materials to take home and share with your loved ones. January 1, 2020, 1PM: First Day Hike --- Nature Center. Start the New Year off on the right foot with our Fitness Hike series. We start off slow and work our way up to the 13 mile Perimeter Hike in October. However you can choose to hike a shorter distance on any hike. On New Year’s Day, meet the Park Naturalist for a 1 mile guided hike near the Nature Center. If you choose, you can stay for an additional 3 mile hike to Pioneer Village, the Swinging Bridge, Horseshoe Falls, and a Rock Gorge.
December 19, 6AM - 5PM Audubon Christmas Bird Count --- Calling all birders! We need your help with our 11th Annual Caesar Creek Lake / Spring Valley Marsh Christmas Bird Count. For early risers we will look and listen for owls at 6AM. We will regroup at the Visitor Center at 8:30AM, break into teams and search for waterfowl and songbirds. We will meet at the Visitor Center at 1PM for a hot lunch sponsored by the Friends of Caesar Creek. Experts and beginners are encouraged to attend. Come out for all or part of the day. December 7 & December 14, 4PM - 9PM: Candlelight Walk --- We will take you back to a time when Christmas time was celebrated in the most basic of ways. All of our buildings will be open for the public to go through and once it gets dark the whole village will be lit up by candle light along our paths between the buildings and within the buildings themselves. For more details, visit the Pioneer Village Candlelight Walk page. Admission, $5 per person.

Caesar Creek State Park is highlighted by clear blue waters, scattered woodlands, meadows, and steep ravines. The 3,741-acre park offers some of the finest outdoor recreation in southwest Ohio including camping, fishing, boating, hunting, swimming, trails for hiking, biking, and horses -- plus a Nature Center. The Park is open year around although some facilities are seasonal. There is always something to do, so check out the activities, special events, and volunteer pages.
