Programs and Events
January 1, 2020, 1PM: First Day Hike --- Nature Center. Start the New Year off on the right foot with our Fitness Hike series. We start off slow and work our way up to the 13 mile Perimeter Hike in October. However you can choose to hike a shorter distance on any hike. On New Year’s Day, meet the Park Naturalist for a 1 mile guided hike near the Nature Center. If you choose, you can stay for an additional 3 mile hike to Pioneer Village, the Swinging Bridge, Horseshoe Falls and a Rock Gorge.
October 26 - 27: Halloween Camp Out --- Caesar Creek Campgrounds. Trick-or-Treat, campsite decorating, costume contest, haunted trail, hay wagon rides, and more. See separate flyer for details*. Reserve your Campsite early before they’re sold out!
November 2, 7:30PM - 9PM: Owl Moon Hike --- We begin with the story, Owl Moon, which tells of a father and daughter on a winter hike in search of a Great Horned Owl. After the story we will go in search of Caesar Creek owl species. In November, owls re-establish territories and prepare for nesting. Please dress for the weather and bring a flashlight if you have one. Registration is required. This is a Friends of Caesar Creek Program, $2 per person. To register, call the Visitor Center at 513-897-1050.
October 26, 3PM - 6PM: Pioneer Trick or Treat --- Our cabins will be open and decorated for this fun trick or treat event (one of the few times we will decorate with modern day decorations). These cabins had years and years of kids going door to door trick or treating and they still love to hear the laughter and see the kids in costume. Kids and adults both can show up at the Village in their favorite costume and go door to door in a safe environment trick or treating through Village. For more details, visit the Pioneer Village Harvest Pioneer Trick or Treat page.
